After a week of sharing texts all nervously ending in, “haha”, we finally made it out of the chat and met in person. What was meant to be a short walk along the canal in Fremont, one of our favorite Seattle neighborhoods, turned into a four-hour coffee date to escape the rain. We quickly realized all of the things we both had been doing alone, we could now do together–running, skiing, golfing, hiking, crossword puzzles... truly a dream! We immediately knew we would never [want to] spend another day apart!

Our Engagement Story :

We went to Whitefish, Montana, with Becca’s family on a ski trip in December, and fell in love with the mountain and the town–we were desperate to go back in the summer. The following July, we made last minute plans to spend a weekend there. Immediately after arriving, we hiked to the top of Big Mountain, where Austin wanted to “take in the scenery” before celebrating the long trek with cold beers… odd, Becca thought. We were tucked away on the side of the mountain, just the two of us, overlooking Glacier National Park, when Austin began his proposal and Becca said yes before he could even ask the question. Oops!
